Neue Platte, Neuer Sound?!

"Für die neue Platte
Homme produziert Arctic Monkeys

Noordwijk...Zandfoord...Amsterdam

I am back from the Netherlands and my opinion has totally changed!
First I thought – Well, ok, I will be in the Netherlands for a few days. Nothing really special, just a neighbour land, the North Sea, stormy weather and a language which I really don’t understand.
Now, I think that the Netherlands will be one of the best hotspots. The architecture is very historical or very modern designed and fascinating.
On the first day I was in Noordwijk. It is a little beautiful city with an interesting shopping street. Shopping in the Netherlands is like a dream- haha- you find almost everything you where searching for!
Zandvoort seemed like a little ‘party city’: everywhere where Pubs and loud music in the streets AND Heineken beer! I love it :D Unfortunately it is too expensive in Germany and you can’t get it everywhere.

After Noordwijk and Zandfoord, I visited Amsterdam!
Sorry, my lovely Cologne, and great Berlin, Hamburg and all the Cities I had visited in the past, but Amsterdam is better.
I found the vintage and second hand stores I was searching for and I also found there this nice and friendly guy and decided to play a bit facehunter. Sorry I forgot to ask for his name, but if he really has a look at this blog, he can maybe contact me (Myspace, Facebook, what ever)? ;)
Don’t have just a look at this wonderful guy – sorry ;) - but you should have a look at this great shop, too!
I must admit that I was really proud that I wasn’t so shy- like always- and that Yvan’s Job isn’t that easy like it seems. The most interesting people are running through the city, are too far away or in this case- they’re riding a bike.
I felt underdressed in Amsterdam: It was raining all the time, so I decided to wear something unspectacular, but then the weather changed and the sun was very hot.
I found a wonderful green leather bag, but I didn’t bought it. I could kill me, because I bought nothing, instead I found thousands of great clothes. At the end I bought three “Armreifen”, but I don’t know what’s that in English.
The last morning I was in Noordwijkerhood by bike. It was raining, but there was a little market. I found a big bag and yes, I bought it!
My sister found a big bag and a lovely T-shirt, too and we all were happy :D

" And well I think it's kinda funny, we always end right where we started
And like a carousel we'll go round and round

A + A = <3

I am at the way home! But sitting in the car is not that spectacular:

Agness boyfriend isn't Josh Hubbard anymore.
First I was very sad about it, but then I heard that her new boyfried is nothing other than Strokes Guitarist Albert Hammond Jr.!
So why not falling in love with someone of the Strokes?
Albert is amazing!

The Strokes, 2005

Guitarist admits they need to make one next year

Albert Hammond, Jr. has declared that The Strokes need to record a new album in 2009.

He added that the public will think the band have broken up if they do not meet that deadline, having not released an album since 'First Impressions Of Earth' in January 2006.

Speaking to Teletext's Planet Sound, Hammond, Jr. said: "If we don't make a Strokes record before that, people will think that's the end of us.

"Nothing's set, but we're definitely figuring out something to do for 2009."

The guitarist's second solo album 'Como Te Llama' was released on July 7."

Summer Holidays

The last week was pretty turbulent!
Every day- better: every night- was something going on somewhere. Our circadian rhythm is shacked and we are really short of sleep, but we have a lot fun.
Last Friday was a bad- taste- party.

Saturdays was a festival: RhEINKULTUR
Actually, I was very satisfied:
I have seen all the gigs, which I had resolved to see- anything except the Futureheads.
Overall, I have seen Dúné, Eternal Tango, The Trashmonkeys, Air Traffic, Tomte, Ben Folds and Sportfreunde Stiller.

Dúné
The band was founded in 2001 in Skive, in the northwest of Denmark. Their first EP released EP there in 2004. It was named "Go Go Robot".
In September 2007 emerged their album "We Are In Out There You Are Here".

Eternal Tango
Eternal Tango was founded in 2002 in Düdelingen (Luxembourg). They released 2004 their first CD. In November of 2006 they won at the "Battle of the Bands" Contest. They won also the "Elie Music Award " in Luxembourg and the "Printemps de Bourges". They published in December 2007 their debut album" First Round At The Cafe Sissi "

The Trashmonkeys

The band was founded in 1998. In the same year, they published her debut album "Trash Monkeys". They played in at concerts of the Hives and the Hellacopters. The second album "Club Town" was published in 2002, 2004 the third album of Trash Monkeys with the title "The Maker" and 2006, the fourth album "Favourite Enemy".

Air Traffic
The Boys are from Bournemouth, South West England and the Band was foundet in 2004.
I was very positively surprised by the boys- They are my personal sleeper! I really like them.

Tomte
Tomte is one of the greatest German Indie- Bands!

Ben Folds
He is an American singer and pianist. Wonderful and unique! It rained when he played his quiet songs, but it fit beautifully for atmosphere!

Sportfreunde Stiller
An eternally long history...
In short: very well-known German Band, wrote successful song for the last football World Championship to cheer the german team

Incidentally, I have also noticed Schelmish and Schandmaul, but they had unconvinced in their medieval clothing and their mix of medieval music and kind of metall!
Unfortunately, the sound of the red stage was sometimes not as desired.
But I just love the ambience at festivals and concerts!

Some photos of the bad-taste-party and of RhEINKULTUR will follow!

The hottest day this year!

I bet that today was the hottest day of the year! It was so hot that the whole city was empty, because it was simply too hot to do anything.

After I had poured the flowers in the garden (played a little bit with the water =D) I saw a red beatle sitting at one of our flowers. I had never seen such a beatle before and decided to photograph him. When I came back with my camera, he was no longer alone. He had begun to mate. Well ... it's just summer!
I decided to continue to photograph, because it was easy to do despite the heat.

Yepp, it was the hottest day this year. I heard it in the radio :D But a thounderstorm will follow this night...omg!

The Libertines are back!

"Barat & Doherty schreiben Songs
"Songs have been pouring out of the pair and now they're considering holding back a few compositions to record and maybe release in the future."
"Otherwise it's just a cash-cow, a glory-milker."

Luke Pickett

Last Saturday was a concert of Luke Pickett (hottie in the middle) in Duisburg and we were there.

He is amazing!

The concert was in a very small room, but the ambience suited to its very beautiful quieter songs.
The crowd sat on the stage and formed a circle around him.
His singing was live thousands of times better than expected and he has a wonderful personality.
I find it very creditable, that he really cared about each of his fan.
Check out his music here

tada

I am totally damaged- Another day in hospital. I was x-rayed again (ribs, hand). My bandage is now twice as long. It looks like a gypsum.
The only nice thing was the good looking boy in the waiting room :D

strike!

Today I had an accident. It was a wonderful day (ironic!!) in hospital! Thank god no harm done, but I have some contuions and wounds (knees and elbow). I can't rotate my arm on the right, it really hurts! For that reason I have a big bandage and can't even do my hair :/ Even better: Something with my nerve (right arm) isn't ok. Puuuh what a day... sorry that I can't write so much in the next days..

the decision =D

I decided for the black Wayfarer.
When I went to the first shop, the personnel had no idea of what the was talking to me! I asked for the Aviator and she showed me a totally different Ray-Ban. When I told her that this wasn't an Aviator, she was very disrespectul and I left the shop!
In the second shop, I was very surprised: They had ordered the Wayfarer from Italy (hey, hey, my fucking town has to offer Wayfarers from Ray-Ban because of me =D).
So I had the comparison and I must admit, that the Wayfarer was better than the Aviator.
Thanks a lot for your advocacies!!
On the weekend I went to Koblenz and to Cologne, but I don't have the time to post any photos today, because I want to go shopping ;P Hopefully I find a good deal...

addendum:

I found nothing!!!!
But I bought a Glamour Magazine- decidedly the best today! Enclosed was a DVD with three Sex and the City suites.
Now I am overworking my facebook-page.
Do you have one?
If you like me and (or ;D) my blog you can add me here.

You could be a great help

Aviator VS. Wayfarer

Which one perform better?
I already told you, that it's not easy to find a Wayfarer from Ray-Ban in my town, but now I found a Aviator from Ray-Ban. It is as well a shade which I really like, so I am in two minds. Which one would you prefer?

Voilà Facehunter Et Une Française

A wunderful outfit from Facehunter!

This week we have a visitor. She is a young french girl and very likeable. The reason for her attendance is an school exchange with Paris.
My little sister already was a week in Paris and now her exchance partner arrived.
We think about perhaps going to Frankfurt a.M. this weekend, but unfortunately all shops will be closed (like in Hamburg) =(.

hunting for wayfarer

Today I am a little bit dejected: I was hunting for the original Wayfarer from Ray- Ban. Now I am sorely disappointed with my boring little hometown! Every optician had to order them from Italy.
And the red cardigan I found yesterday, was sold out.
This weekend was city festival and I saw a ballerina shoe like the typical one from Chanel uii.
In spite of everything I am just good-humoured. I am dancing through my room and tidy up a little bit haha. Ahh and I enjoy my new lipgloss (can't believe it- I normally hate lipgloss) from Esteé Lauder "High Gloss Coral" !

just for you all ;)

sandy beach and metropolis

Hey I am back from Hamburg!

But first I will show you some new things. I was shopping last week (before Hamburg) and found this:
(top)

The weather in Hamburg was fine – like in june or something else.

I had a sandy beach directly in front of my door – slightly 50 meters.
At the first evening was a great pentecost fire. Horrible music, it sounds like “Ballerman” at Mallorca! But it was very funny (drunken guys from the Netherlands haha).

The next day I went to see the famous fish marked, but it was in the early morning, almost in the night. I bought a red shade in a wayfarer style. I planned to buy a original black Wayfarer from Ray- Ban, but unfortunately all shops where closed (weekend + churchly holiday).

Over lunchtime the fish marked changed into the harbour birthday. There was a lot to see! Adorable!

The next day we considered the city. A plenty of buildings are brick-built! This makes Hamburg very lovely.

When I was sitting next to a amber light, a guy asked me if I want to take a photo of him, but he was the kind like 'hey baby I know you can't resist me, because I am sooo sexy'. Never mind how fine he felt, he was too bragging and unalluring. However, there where many good looking people and I tried to take a photo of them, but they're blurred because I had to take snapshots (to shy to aks them xD).

I will upload some more photos in the next time.
a kiss & a hug.

Pete - free and clean?

"Well, I knew it was going to be a bit rough to start with. With the overcrowding and the medical facilities. Although they do their best – they are good, they can't really cater for the average junkie."

Gefragt, was das Schlimmste an seinem Gefängnisaufenthalt gewesen sei, sagte Pete: "Gangsters and Radio 4, basically."

"I feel like I want to go for a nice walk in the park."

wop - 06.05.2008 "

Musikexpress

Pete Doherty is released from the Worm Wood Scrubs prison in London this morning. From its 14-week term of imprisonment, he has 29 days dismounted. He showed the waiting reporters a medical certificate that proves that he is clean. When asked what the worst of his term of imprisonment was, said Pete:"Gangsters and Radio 4, basically."
Now he continues working on the new Babyshambles album and the demand for drugs seems to be passed: "I feel like I want to go for a nice walk in the park."

fond of traveling: Hamburg

I am not going to Paris on Pentecost like I said :/ but therefor I am going to Hamburg! I think this could be fun, too, cause it's harbour birthday and everywhere are various people...

pick of the bunch: FACE HUNTER mai 04, 2008 EDINBURGH - the meadows + old town + grv, 05/03-04/08

Hello Sunday Evening people.
I hope your week-end was a carnival of amusement and relaxation.
Mine was green.
I never seen so many underages going out than last night in wild Glasgow. There was like a tsunami of dangerous and unfacehuntable 14 y.o. girls wearing black-mini skirts and pink or yellow neon knee socks eating burgers and getting lost in the dark side of the city.Scary!
So scary, that I decided to jump into the last bus to Edinburgh. Pretty nice the Scotish busses, they've got WiFi inside! The capital of Scotland is much more civilized and green. Less drunkheads, more tourists.
Not all the boys here are sport junkies,I found Calvin and his friends, they will for sure give you a new image of Edinburgh.

Click on him and fall in love.

The last days

The new coffee house in town is gorgeous! My friend and I had a lot of fun.
But if you want to go out in the evening it’s a different matter:
Sure we have pubs, clubs and some locations along those lines, but nothing in particular.
Let’s put it this way: There are not many people and if you want to meet with someone you don’t have to make a meeting point, simply because it’s safe to say that you will come across with this person.
For the young is a location called ‘The Open Door’. In German ‘Offene Tür’ and in short the OT.
Every now and then Bands play there some gigs. Perhaps I am just accustomed to large concerts in cologne, but in the last times it wasn’t really mentionable.
Even the pub is a bitter disappointment: The elderly population sitting at the Bar, looking like someone in a movie, who’s depressive because he had never ever any luck in love. Drinking some drinks in turn.
Thanks a bomb!
The whole annoying little kids would have been even regardless. They’re feeling pretty cool to hang around in bars in the early evening.Newly a Coctailbar, a new cinema and the coffee bars opend and slowly but surely my boring hometown turns out to be a modern city. You can really distinguish the difference.

Apart from this setting this weekend was hilarious.
And now two outfits from the last week, but the second one isn't very special.

Yesterday I was in the cinema and I saw "21" and it is highly recommended!
Today we have made a little motorcycle tour. Haha really fun!
